Roofing & Exterior Refurbishment

This was a full re-roof and façade refresh carried out on a private residential property in Oxshot.

Project Overview: Structural Roofing & Façade Redress

The original roof showed significant wear, with aged tiles, exposed brickwork, and uneven finishes. Our team handled:

Full strip-down of existing roof tiles and underlay
Inspection and repair of roof timbers
Retimbering and structural reinforcement where needed
Installation of new breathable membrane and battens
Full retile using dark slate-style roofing
Ridge capping and detailed finish work
Repointing and painting of external façade (white render finish)
Upgrade from traditional windows to full-frame black window systems

Exterior Repairs – Listed Building Works

 

Our team undertook sensitive external repairs on a listed property  in Maida Vale, focusing on façade integrity and detail reinstatement. The scope included:

Crack repairs and re-pointing around arches and brick reveals
Surface preparation and painting of moulded cornices and friezes
Restoration of front balustrade and stair edging, using breathable masonry paints suitable for listed status
Cleaning and redecoration of recessed entrance walls and detailed floral motifs
Confined-space work beneath front archways, with minimal disruption to occupiers
Safe execution on occupied premises under scaffold, working alongside other trades

Commercial Concrete Yards London

 

Client sectors: Tree Surgery & Vehicle Dealership

A&C Groundworks were commissioned to deliver two separate commercial yard upgrades for clients in the London area. One for a tree surgery and recycling company, and one for a vehicle repair and dealership facility.

Both sites required durable new concrete surfaces capable of withstanding constant vehicle traffic, machinery loading, and outdoor storage.
Our scope included breaking out deteriorated or missing sections, levelling and compacting the sub-base, and reinstating new reinforced concrete bays to match existing levels.

Each project followed the same proces

Concrete pour, levelling, and trowel finish.
The result: two robust, low-maintenance concrete yards providing clean, professional working areas that enhance both appearance and functionality.

Residential Patio & Footpath Renewal 

A&C Groundworks were invited by a homeowner to re-lay and renew a recently completed paving area that had begun showing signs of movement within weeks of installation.

Our team carefully lifted the existing slabs, prepared a solid, level foundation, and reinstalled the Indian sandstone to create a seamless, stable finish.

The works included a small patio and connecting footpath, completed efficiently and with close attention to alignment and detail. The result is a refreshed, secure outdoor surface that feels balanced, looks consistent, and restores the original design intent with lasting quality.
