For more details, visit our full service list.

Where do you operate?

We are based in London and take on projects across Greater London and surrounding areas.

Do you handle residential and commercial projects?

Yes. We work with homeowners, landlords, builders and contractors on residential, commercial and contractor led projects where the scope fits our experience, training and site capability.

How long does a typical groundworks project take?

Small works may take a few days. Larger or phased works may take longer depending on access, scope, drawings, materials, weather and site conditions. We will give a realistic programme before work starts.

Do I need planning permission for groundworks?

Some works may require planning permission, building control approval, engineer’s details or other permissions. We do not act as planning consultants, building control officers or structural engineers, but we will flag anything that may need checking before works proceed. The client remains responsible for obtaining the necessary approvals unless this responsibility is expressly included in our agreed scope.

Do you provide free quotes for your services?

For straightforward works with a clear scope, we can usually provide a free quote after a site visit, photos, drawings or measurements.

This may include: Paving, Slab laying, Concrete bases, drainage works, external reinstatement.  For complex works requiring detailed take-offs, staged pricing or a full breakdown, a quote preparation fee may apply. This will always be agreed upfront.

What is included in a groundworks quote?

Our quotes set out the agreed scope of works, labour, materials, plant or equipment where required, waste removal where included, and any assumptions or exclusions. If something is not included, we aim to make that clear before work starts.

What happens if the scope changes?

If the scope changes, or unexpected site conditions are found, we will flag it as early as possible. Any additional work, cost or time impact will be discussed and agreed before proceeding where possible.

What information do you need before starting?

Useful information includes:

• Site address
• Photos or videos
• Drawings or plans if available
• Access details
• Parking or loading restrictions
• Known underground services
• Required start date
• Any site rules or working restrictions

The more information we have, the smoother the job runs.

Do you carry insurance?

Yes. We hold public liability insurance, with documentation available on request. If needed, we can also provide RAMS and site documentation relevant to the agreed scope.

How do you manage health and safety?

We plan the work to suit the agreed scope and site requirements, with project-specific RAMS where required. Our workforce holds role-relevant cards and training, including CSCS/GQA and NPORS where applicable, supported by SSSTS/SMSTS site management and IOSH-trained leadership.

Do you offer guarantees or warranties?

Any guarantee or defect period depends on the type of work, materials used, ground conditions and agreed scope. This will be confirmed in the quotation or project paperwork where applicable.

Do I need to prepare the site before you arrive?

We will confirm what is needed before works begin. Usually, we ask clients to provide clear access, remove personal items from the work area and advise us of any known underground services, restrictions or sensitive areas.

Do you work with builders and contractors?

Yes. We undertake groundworks and external works packages for selected builders and contractors where the scope, responsibilities, programme and commercial arrangements are clear. This may include excavation, drainage, concrete, paving and associated reinstatement.

Our Quotation Policy

We offer free quotes for smaller projects  such as paving, slab laying, concrete bases, basic drainage works and external reinstatement.

For larger or more complex works, a quote preparation fee may apply if the project requires detailed estimating, quantity take-offs, staged pricing or a more detailed breakdown. You will always be told upfront. Where agreed, the quote preparation fee can be deducted from the final invoice if you proceed with us.
